The city of La Chorrera, Panama<\/a> will host the 26th Festival of Tambourines and Kites on Sunday, March 22. Organized by the Chinese Panamanian Professional Association (Aprochipa), this year’s event moves to the Costa Verde area near San Agust\u00edn College for a full day of family focused cultural activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gates open at 10 a.m. with festivities continuing until 6 p.m. The festival aims to promote the traditional pastime of kite flying while strengthening community bonds. Attendees can expect competitions, stage performances, and a dedicated food corridor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

International Experts Join Local Celebrations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A significant new feature this year involves international participation. Six expert kite flyers from three separate Colombian groups will perform special exhibitions. They plan to showcase giant, elaborate kites as part of the aerial spectacle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Association President Mar\u00eda Gabriela Fong emphasized the event’s evolving nature. She highlighted the deliberate inclusion of international talent to elevate the experience for returning visitors and first time guests alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
