Panama has launched a new Panama working holiday<\/a><\/strong> visa category<\/a> that allows foreign nationals aged 18 to 30 to live and work in the country for up to 12 months. The measure, established through Executive Decree No. 21 of October 13, 2026, was published in the Official Digital Gazette<\/a> the following day and falls under the Non-Resident immigration<\/a> category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry of Security issued the decree, which creates a short-stay visa for tourists participating in the Vacations and Housing<\/a> program, commonly known as Working Holiday. Applicants must apply personally at the Special Projects Office of the National Migration Service<\/a> (SNM) and meet a series of specific requirements before approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Required documents include a passport copy notarized by a Panamanian notary public, three passport-sized photographs, and an apostilled birth certificate proving the applicant is between 18 and 30 years old.
