Education Minister Ventura Vega delivered the timeline while acknowledging that a significant number of facilities previously absent from maintenance records now need urgent attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement follows technical inspections launched to assess building conditions after seismic activity<\/a> disrupted the academic calendar. Vega emphasized that Meduca bears full responsibility for certifying school safety. “Most schools are going to be ready by March,” the minister stated. He admitted that many damaged buildings had not appeared in earlier maintenance statistics, expanding the scope of the rehabilitation effort considerably.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inspections determine specific interventions needed at each site, with technical reports supporting habitation decisions. Vega stressed that only Panamanian-credentialed professionals can sign these certification documents, even though specialists from the United States and Venezuela are assisting with evaluations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
