Changuinola Street Reconstruction Reaches 55% Completion
In Changuinola district, the MOP is executing comprehensive reconstruction of internal streets and installing new asphalt surfacing in the Finca Las 30 bridge area. This work forms part of the “Rehabilitation of Roads and Internal Streets of Changuinola – Line 2” project, which has reached 55% physical completion according to regional MOP officials.
The project represents an investment surpassing B/. 23,352,905.55 and has already utilized more than 100 tons of asphalt material. The substantial progress marks a significant step toward modernizing local transportation infrastructure that serves numerous communities throughout the district.

Simultaneously, crews have initiated work on the Rambala-Almirante highway (Line 3), focusing initial efforts on the Loma La Fe branch. Current activities include base layer compaction and terrain preparation for asphalt priming, while rock formation work has been completed in this same section.
Along the main roadway, crews have successfully placed the second layer of asphalt, a critical step that will provide enhanced durability and safety for both drivers and pedestrians. These coordinated interventions demonstrate the ministry’s comprehensive approach to infrastructure improvement throughout the province.
