The Mayor’s Office of Panama has unveiled the full schedule for the 2025 City of Stars International Christmas Festival. This extensive program of cultural and community events will animate Panama City throughout December and January. Officials designed the festival to offer family-friendly activities across the capital district.
Events begin in early December and continue for nearly two full months. The calendar includes Christmas shows, community markets, a major parade, and the inauguration of several new public spaces in January. This initiative aims to bring holiday celebrations directly to residents in numerous neighborhoods.
Festival Schedule and Community Focus
December’s packed schedule kicks off on the 5th with a Christmas Show in Río Abajo. Highlights include a Christmas Bazaar at the San Felipe Neri Market on the 6th and the flagship City of Stars Parade down Calle 50 on December 14th. The month concludes with events like the Santa’s Run walk on the Cinta Costera and a Christmas Show in the historic Casco Antiguo, Panama on the 28th.
“We are turning the entire city into a stage for shared joy and tradition,” said Mayor José Luis Fábrega. [Translated from Spanish]
January will see a different kind of celebration with the official opening of five new thematic parks. These community spaces, located in areas like Tocúmen, Don Bosco, and Juan Díaz, will inaugurate on consecutive weekends. The final inauguration is set for January 31st at the parque norte location.
The City of Stars festival represents a significant municipal investment in public cultural programming. By spreading events across many districts, organizers hope to foster local engagement. Residents can expect a blend of traditional holiday festivities and new community infrastructure projects.
